those curls

Luke has a head full of beautiful, perfectly coiled curls after his bath. 

As his hair dries and he sleeps on the ringlets, they quickly fall apart into smooth waves. 

I had to take a few pictures of him after his bath last night to document his head full of curls. 

Wherever this hair came from, I love it & hope it sticks around!

Playtime at the mall

Today I had to run to the mall for Target essentials and some items at the Christian bookstore. After walking around a bit, I decided to give Luke a break from the stroller in the kiddie play area. He had a ball. :)

Big ears

We went to Target today so I could get my first pumpkin spice latte of the year. I've been saving my last gift card for this drink and it didn't disappoint!

We cruised around so Luke could ride in the cart (one of his favorite things to do) and I could enjoy my latte. Target had Halloween items in their "Dollar Spot" and I could resist putting these giant ears on Luke. :) What are they supposed to be? Elf ears?

Big ears, small ears, this little man always looks precious.

bath buddies

Quite often John will give Luke his evening bath. I love to hear my boys talking and splashing and laughing in the bathroom. I snapped this photo the other night as they came out and love to look at it during the day. I am so blessed!

Bluebird Gap Farm

Last week was week two of a nasty cold for both Luke and Mommy. By Wednesday we were both getting cabin fever and decided to take a little outing to Bluebird Gap Farm, a free little farm/park/playground in Hampton. With our friends Adrienne and Emerson along for the afternoon, we had a great time! The fresh air was a great change from our tissue-covered house. We can't wait to go back!

Luke & Lily

Last weekend we got to hang out at the family lake house with all of John's family.

Luke enjoyed playing with all three of his cousins, but I think Lily was his favorite.

 no son, you can't pick other people's noses either

 maybe it was because she's just a year older than him

 or maybe it's because she has a pretty cool sweatshirt

 Either way, they had a great time together.
